Key FEED activities:

Feasibility Study & Route Selection

Conducting thorough feasibility assessments, site surveys, and route optimization studies to select the most efficient transmission line and underground cable corridors, considering environmental, geographical, and regulatory constraints.

System Studies & Load Flow Analysis

Performing power system studies, including load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, insulation coordination, electromagnetic interference studies, and transient stability analysis using ETAP, ASPEN, and other simulation tools.

  • Overhead Line (OHL) Design
    Utilizing PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE for designing overhead transmission and distribution lines, including lattice towers, monopoles, guyed structures, and wood pole configurations, with optimized sag-tension calculations and clearance verification.
  • Underground Cable System Design
    Developing cable sizing, trenching, and ducting layouts, jointing and termination configurations, thermal analysis, and grounding system designs to ensure efficient and reliable underground cable networks.
  • Substation Conceptual Design
    Engineering primary and secondary system layouts, switchgear configurations, busbar arrangements, transformer sizing and relay protection schemes

Enfras in partnership with collaborator's undertakes specific & specialized installation and commissioning activities when the customer request to do so.

Upon demand of situation, Installation(construction) jobs undertaken and accomplished in collaboration with traditional Partner contractors. In such models Enfras assumes the responsibility of Engineering, Project Management & Sourcing support and rest of the responsibility including procurement is undertaken by other partners.

Model is suitably tailored to comply contract procedures of customer on case-by-case basis.

Emphasis is made to certain specific or specialist activities as listed below:

  • Complete installation of Emergency Restoration systems including supervision or providing supervision alone as the customer may desire.
  • Interfacing between overhead line and substations, between overhead lines and underground cabling and substations (including erection of all substation structures and related equipment mounting).
  • Sealing End compounds and equipment associated with it.
  • Fiber optics installation, testing, splicing and commissioning.
  • Construction of overhead line and underground cabling of any voltage. All activities can be addressed such as survey, foundation, structure erection, stringing & finalization, trial pit excavation, trough/cable laying and joint & termination.
  • Complete construction of wood pole lines, switching stations, package substations, mobile substations.
